This year the run is leaving from Burrumbuttock on Friday at 6am, heading to Armidale with trucks, trailers and everything in between laden with hay.
Several Leeton shire residents are again taking part, including Sandi Jones and Mick Stanworth.
It's something the pair have been doing for many years now and the goal remains the same - to help people.
Already this year those who have participated in the Burrumbuttock Hay Run have made a mercy dash to fire-affected areas to deliver much-needed hay and supplies to farmers in Victoria.
"The boys have been flat out for weeks cutting, raking and bailing hay from Horsham, Ariah Park, Echuca, the list goes on," Ms Jones said.
"(Collectively the run) hopes to get upward of 200 trucks loaded with hay.

"The Armidale area has had it pretty tough for a while now. We just want to do what we can to help."
The Burrumbuttock Hay Run participants will again meet with farmers to listen to their stories and lend a shoulder.
"Armidale has also been one of the big supporters of the run as well ... they've had many fundraisers there for the run in the past," Ms Jones said.
"They have been hit hard, so anything we can all do to help.
"It's just devastating what the drought and fires have done to these communities."
