Selected after state trials were conducted in Newcastle and Sydney in September, Tamika Rourke, Tallis McMillan, Calan Nicholls, Kobe O'Callaghan and Amelia Irvin all represented NSW Country with distinction.
Tamika travelled to the State Basketball Centre in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Wantirna as part of the under 15s Girls NSW Country team to contest the Southern Cross Challenge Tournament.
The NSW Country team performed with distinction throughout the event winning four of their six games to finish third in their pool of seven teams.
Tamika, playing as a guard, averaged two points per game, with her highlight performance being a seven-point performance in a thrilling win over WA Metro.
Tallis, Calan and Kobe all formed an integral part of the under 14s Boys NSW Country Waratahs team that won four games on their way to a fifth-placed finish out of 12 competing teams at the Australian Junior Country Basketball Cup (ACJBC).
This competition was held at the Lauren Jackson Stadium in Albury. Tallis averaged 6.4 points per game as a guard, highlighted by a 12-point haul against New Zealand.
Likewise, Calan's best shooting performance playing as a guard was 12 points against New Zealand, with his tournament average just under eight points per game.
Kobe featured predominantly as a centre throughout the championships, averaging 7.5 points per game, highlighted by a 14-point game against South Australia.

Amelia was selected to represent the under 14s Girls NSW Country Kookaburras team that finished fifth of 11 competing teams at the ACJBC.
Playing mainly as a centre, she averaged nine points and 16 rebounds per game for the championships, highlighted by a stand out 27 points and 29 rebounds in her teams win against NSW Country Osprey.
Following a series of impressive performances throughout the ACJBC, Amelia was excited to learn she had been selected to tour New Zealand with the under 14 Girls Australian Country team in April.
All five will now turn their attention to Western Junior League, with the Leeton Eagles commencing on February 8.
