A 55-YEAR-OLD man is facing serious charges after being arrested by Leeton police this week.

The man was arrested at a Whitton address on Wednesday morning for a variety of offences, according to Murrumbidgee Police District Inspector Justin Cornes.
Officers were called to the address after reports of a serious disturbance taking place.
"The man was charged with intentionally choke person, breach of an apprehended violence order, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intimidation," Inspector Cornes said.
The man was refused bail by both police and Leeton Local Court.
He will appear in Leeton Local Court on Tuesday.
The victim is believed to be female.
