KINDERGARTEN students across Leeton shire and Barellan have been spending the last month getting to know their new surroundings.
The young kindergarten learners headed to their respective schools for the first time officially as students either late last month or early in February.
Since then they have been busy with the teachers learning many new skills across a variety of topics.
They have also been making new friends and getting to know their new surroundings.
Leeton shire schools and Barellan Central have proven many times how well set up and capable they are of getting kindergarten students off on the right foot on their schooling journey.
Most now offer transition programs for incoming kindergarten students, meaning they will have spent time getting to know what "big school" is all about before they even officially start kindergarten.
This has been shown to make the process easier for both students, teachers and parents.
