The 20-year-old was killed when her car left Strontian Road near Boree Creek and hit a tree about 2.45pm.
Coleambally's Brolga Hotel Motel general manager Daniel Griffiths said Ms Painting was a "happy, bubbly and community-oriented" person with a bright future ahead that was cut too short.
She was a regular at the pub, especially after netball training, with her go-to order a chicken schnitzel with gravy, chips and salad.
In memory of Ms Painting, Mr Griffiths said the proceeds of her usual order this week will be given to her family to help them through this difficult time.
"She was always there to help others, so this is the least we can do to pay it back when her life was cut short," he said.
"It is very shocking and always hard when a young person passes away ... there are a lot of broken hearts in the community and we want to let the family know that everyone is thinking of them."
Ms Painting was an "integral part" of the Coleambally Football and Netball Club family, who did more for the club than most.
Not only was she a player, but she was the Net-Set-Go coordinator for the past three years, coached junior netball and umpired games almost every weekend.
In a statement, the Coleambally Blues Football and Netball Club paid tribute to Ms Painting as a "great role model" with a positive attitude.
"Ella was a very well respected club person, who always displayed appreciation to coaches and mentors," the statement said.
"Ella's infectious smile and enthusiasm will be greatly missed around the netball court and beyond."
Wagga Harness Racing Club chief executive Graeme White said the Painting family are well-known in the harness racing community and Ms Painting was often at meetings.
"It is such a tragedy for the family, who are your everyday nice, down-to-earth country people," he said.
