The club has been training once a week, but has now moved to two-a-week sessions as the Group 20 season fast approaches.
On the agenda in the coming weeks is a trial match on April 14 against the Wodonga Wombats before the Group 20 knockout the following weekend.
This should hold them in good stead for the beginning of the season proper, according to coach Troy Preston, who has signed on for the job again.
"I was after a trial game, we approached a few clubs and didn't have much luck, then they (the Wodonga Wombats) got in touch with (president) Craig Higgins," he said.

"I don't know too much about them, but either way it will be a good opportunity for us to get a bit of match time in our legs and to just blow the cobwebs out a bit."
Pre-seasons can be known as a time where players are put through their paces fitness wise.
While the Hawks have been doing that, Preston said he was avoiding running his players into the ground.
"We've been steadily building and really just getting to know each other as a playing group ... making sure we get that culture right," he said.
The side has lost a couple of its players from last season, including Shannon Bradbrook, but they have also picked up several new recruits, including David Collett, who has played in Griffith and Darlington Point-Coleambally and Sterling Ross from Tullibigeal Lakes United.
"Over the next four weeks will be ramping it up at training as we prepare for the knockout and the season," Preston said.
"As I said, it's been a steady build up during the pre-season, but we'll be going a bit harder now."
The Hawks will play West Wyalong in their first match up at the Group 20 knockout, with a win securing them a berth in the next round.
Their first game for the regular season will be on April 4 at Yanco Sportsground against Waratah Tigers.
The match against Wodonga Wombats will also have the club's league tag side playing at 2pm, with the men to kick off at 3pm.
