Leeton has started its own branch or "mob" as it is more widely known, as part of the Ozy Youth Choir, which honours defence service.
Members of the choir were last year in Leeton for the anniversary celebrations of the Leeton RSL Sub-branch and women's auxiliary to perform as part of the festivities.
It was from there that the idea grew to form a mob in Leeton with eight youngsters now signing up to take part.
Creative director OJ Rushton was in Leeton recently to assist with the process, with Miranda Tait to co-ordinate the group here.
"It's very exciting," Ms Tait said.
"Basically we will be able to perform at RSL functions and other related events.

"So things like Anzac Day, Remembrance Day and those kinds of events.
"Because it's a group that has members in many places we can all come together for events as well."
The Ozy Youth Choir bring civilians, veterans and current serving defence families together in regional and rural areas across Australia through the arts.
The choir gives everyone a place to belong (regardless of where they are posted) and a place to shine.
Practicing mostly online, members come together to perform for local, national and international events.
The Leeton mob will also be taking part in the upcoming Leeton SunRice Festival.
The choir is open to all young people up to the age of 25 people.
"We've already had offers from other mobs saying they would be happy to join us for the SunRice Festival, which is great," Ms Tait said.
The choir focus on commemoration, education and welfare of veteran and current serving defence families educating all young people about sacrifice and service.
