Police pulled over a silver Ford leaving the United service station on the corner of Kurrajong Avenue and Acacia Avenue at 11.30pm on March 29 after the police observed the vehicle swerving along Acacia Avenue.

The vehicle was stopped for a random breath test, with the driver, a 49-year-old man, was noted to be slurring his speech while talking to police.

The RBT result returned positive and the man was taken to Leeton police station.

While at the station, the man told police he had three glasses of white wine between 9.30pm and 11.30pm and had eaten during that window, going to the service station to purchase some food as well as cigarettes.

A further breath analysis at the station returned a reading of 0.09 and the man was issued a suspension notice and charged with a mid-range PCA offence.

In other police news, The Murrumbidgee Proactive Crime Team are attempting to locate a vehicle which failed to stop after causing an accident along Lillypilly Road on March 26.

At 3.25am a vehicle travelling east along the road slowed to 15 kilometres an hour to turn along a hook in the road at the same time a car heading north was heading down the middle of the road.

The vehicle heading east turned to avoid the car travelling down the middle of the road, rolling into an empty channel and suffering damage to the vehicle.

The driver of the crashed vehicle was uninjured and submitted to a breath test, with the result returning negative.

The car heading north - who police believe to be at fault for the accident - failed to stop to assist the crashed driver, with police assessing the nearby area for the vehicle but are yet to locate the car.

A 22-year-old man will also go before court after he was found to be driving without a valid licence.

Officers from the Murrumbidgee Proactive Crime Team pulled over a vehicle along Whitton Road on March 28 after the vehicle was noted to have both a taillight and a headlight not functioning.

Upon being stopped by police, the driver - who was driving a vehicle with Victorian licence plates - handed over a NSW licence which had expired.

A further police check verified the licence was suspended in June 2019, with the driver unable to give a reason as to why they were driving without a valid licence.

The man was issued with a defect notice for the non-functional lights and an infringement notice for driving while unlicenced and will front court at a later date.
