During January, 2013 in Leeton shire there was plenty happening thanks to the school holidays break.
Leeton Shire Council's Bidgee Binge program continued to create awareness of the dangers of binge drinking by engaging with young people in the area.
There were also many fun activities to be had at the town's pool, the rebuild of the stables at the Leeton Showground continued following a tragic fire and the Leeton Volunteer Rescue Association was the recipient of a timely donation.
Cricket was also in full swing, as was bowls and golf competitions.
Leeton also celebrated its official 100th anniversary since being gazetted as a town back in January, 1913.
This followed on from celebrations the year before, which marked 100 years of the turning on of the water in 1912.
