However, while that price now be a reality, residents are still unable to take full advantage of fueling up for long road trips in the car as ongoing coronavirus restrictions remain in place.
While holiday travel is off the cards, it is certainly a good time to be filling up the tanks and many are taking advantage of the good prices.
On Wednesday afternoon, the cheapest place in Leeton to buy unleaded 91 was at the United service station for 98.9 followed by 99.7 at Shell.
Both Caltex service stations at Woolworths and the McDonalds service centre came in at 113.9, while the BP at the Golden Apple Super Store was cheaper at 106.9.
Mobil Leeton's price was 108.9. United service station Leeton manager Manoj Kottala said business had been about on par despite the cheaper fuel.
"We've had all of our usual regulars coming in," he said.

Petrol prices in regional Australia change more slowly as retailers in these areas tend to have lower stock turnover than city sites.
