Like other sporting organisations, the Phantoms are waiting news from the state government about when contact sport will be allowed to resume.
Currently, Southern Inland Rugby Union is planning and hoping a competition may be able to get underway from the middle of July.
Leeton Phantoms Rugby Union Club president John Hill said he, along with representatives from other SIRU clubs, had been holding regular video conference meetings to stay updated on the situation.
He said training for players would resume from Tuesday.

"Initially training will start on Tuesday, we'll start that off with two small groups at the moment," Hill said.
"We're part of the AIS framework for returning to training, the return to playing will be sorted out once the government is happy with the return to training and how that looks and works.
"We will be adhering to everything that involves, which includes 10 people to a group, no contact, turning up ready to train and leaving as soon as we're done.
"It will be different, but it's what we have to do."
The Phantoms will be ensuring the appropriate sanitizing measures are also in place as players look to return to some sense of normality.
With SIRU still hopeful of having a competition where each club plays each other once before a finals series is held, the Phantoms will be looking to capitalise on these new training opportunities.
SIRU is an amateur competition, meaning clubs don't pay players.
However, there will be many other financial implications to arise from a restricted season, including sponsorship, player registration and insurance and no takings from canteens and bar facilities.
With that in mind, Hill said the Phantoms were looking forward to continuing to be part of conversations about the 2020 season and what that could mean for all clubs.
"It's still a wait and see for the moment," he said.
