The Leeton Business Chamber's virtual business awards "Leeton's Pivotal Awards" launched on Thursday night.
It is a small awards program consisting of five awards that are open to all Leeton businesses.
The awards each showcase how businesses have overcome different challenges faced during COVID-19 pandemic.
There's no doubting the first half of 2020 has been hard on businesses who have faced some tough challenges.

After having to cancel its typical awards event, the chamber wanted to find a way to still recognise the efforts being put in.
"We feel the efforts from our local business community need to be recognised and congratulated," chamber president Wayne Bond said.
Now that awards have been officially launched, what is needed now is nominations.
The five award categories are open to all local businesses.
They are:
- Business adaptability.
- Outstanding leadership in uncertain times.
- Exceptional communication.
- Business focus during downtime.
- Best customer service representative.
The Leeton Pivotal Awards are not aligned with Business NSW.
However, nominations are open for the community to participate and for businesses to self-nominate.
The winners will be considered by external judges to stay connected to the integrity of the awards process.
Due to restrictions on events currently in place, this awards program will be celebrated via video online through local social media channels, free for all to see.
Nominations are open now until 5pm on July 10.
To nominate a business, head to www.LeetonChamber.com.au and fill out a nomination survey for the specified category.
Winners will be announced on July 31 on social media. More information is also available on the chamber's Facebook page.
