United hasn't won a first grade premiership since 1993, but showed they deserve to be mentioned as a title hope after finishing fourth in last year's Pascoe Cup.
An inability to take advantage of chances proved costly at times and Henri is confident the brothers can complement Leeton's style of play.
"Every time we played Leeton we liked their style of play, they play good football," Henri said.
"They've got everything there, they're just missing strikers and that's what we like doing is attacking and looking for goals.
"They play a good style and we enjoy that, we don't want to just kick and chase.
"They're a team who have always been challenging when we play them. They went pretty close last year, and hopefully we can help them better that next year."
It has been a long wait to pull the boots back on for the Gardners after their time with Wagga City Wanderers ended abruptly midway through last season, before a planned stint with Wagga United failed to get off the ground.
The coronavirus pandemic has only lengthened the delay, but Henri said they're more than ready to make an impact immediately.
"Fred and I just kept doing pre-season from the time we stopped playing," Henri said.
"We've kept in shape for the season coming up, with coronavirus that's just been extended so the wait's been pretty long.
"It will be nice to get out there and just enjoy the sport again. It was pretty hard, we love playing soccer and it was a long season (last year).
"I don't feel like we've got a point to prove, we've played in premierships in Wagga but it's a nice challenge to play for Leeton. It's a great club, and they have a good structure and attitude.
"Last year is last year, there's no point speaking about the past."
Henri is expected to play as a striker, with Fred filling the no.10 role.
Leeton United gets its campaign underway against Wagga United at Rawlings Park this Sunday.
