To be known as Helson Park, the area is still not open to the public, but Leeton Shire Council is working to have it complete in the near future.
The playground equipment is bright, interactive and offers plenty for all ages in the estate.
The playground has been something residents have been calling for for some time as the estate is on the outskirts of town.
The park will be named in commemoration of two Leeton pioneers - Charles Frederick Helson and Albert Percy Helson.
They are also the prior landowners of the land where the park is situated.
Charles Helson came to the Leeton area in 1910 with his family and became one of Leeton's earliest pioneering farming families.
His brother, Albert, also an early pioneer, died as a soldier in France in 1916.
His name is inscribed on the Leeton town cenotaph.

The Rotary Club of Leeton's short film - Leeton: The Formative Years - featured Charles as one of the main characters.
With the final touches being added to the playground, a sign stating the name of the park will also be installed upon completion at a cost of $500 to council.
This will be funded from the existing open space budget.
