As is now the life everyone is accustomed to, 2020 is a different year to usual, so the event is unable to go ahead.
Three days of events and fun were in the works, but organisers aren't letting the setback of the pandemic get them down.
Already they are planning the 2021 weekend, with several big ideas already coming to life.
Leeton Shire Council's marketing and cultural services co-ordinator Suesann Vos said there was one upside to the event not going ahead.
"With the event not happening this year, we're able to get ahead a little bit," she said.
"We'll be able to amend what we did have planned this year for the 2021 event, as well as adding in new and exciting events.
"The Roxy won't be available next year, so we are working around that.
"We are getting very close to hopefully confirming the Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears Exhibition for next year, which will be a big drawcard."
In more good news, the festival has also received two different quotas of funding in recent times.

The state government has allocated the event $50,000 under its Stronger Communities Initiative, as well as a further $20,000 under its Flagship Event Fund.
"The $50,000 covers 2021 and 2022," Mrs Vos said.
"It's really exciting for us and allows us to do so much.
"The $20,000 has to be used for marketing and it's really going to help us spread the word about our event and attract even more people to town."
While the 2020 event can't go ahead, those still wanting to get their fix this weekend in a small way can still do so.
It's as simple as taking in Leeton's many art deco buildings, perhaps dropping into the Historic Hydro Motor Inn for a catch up with friends and downloading the self-guided tour of these buildings to your phone and enjoying a stroll while learning about their history at each stop.
"Our goal now is to make sure next year is huge," Mrs Vos said.
