Fred Gardner slammed home an early double in his first appearance in Leeton colours on Sunday as the visitors proved far too good for Wagga United.
It took Leeton 35 minutes to find the back of the net, but once they did, they quickly found their groove and piled on three more in the second half.
Two of those goals came with just 10 men after Leeton lost Pablo Quarin early in the second half to a second yellow card.
Alampi was satisfied with the performance from his new-look team.
"It was a good performance but we've got a lot of work to do," Alampi said.
"It was good, we kept a clean sheet and we had 10 men for 30 minutes. There was some really good stuff out there but we've got a lot to work on."
Alampi believes the first goal just before half-time allowed his team to settle down and play their best football in the second half.
'I think the boys settled down a bit. That's what most teams do, you've got all the play and you get hit on the counter attack and the good play goes down the gurgler basically," he said.
"Once we got the first one, it settled them down basically and then with the second one, even with 10 men we still played reasonable football and got two goals but we still gave the ball away way too much today.
"New faces, different formation to last year but it was good performance and you've got to be happy with the three points. Three points and a clean sheet, very happy."
Fred Gardner's first goal for Leeton was a sign of what the club hopes is to come after he headed a perfect cross from brother Henri into the back of the net.
He scored their second early in the second half before Conor Edenden and Adam Raso put the result beyond doubt.
Wagga United had their moments and looked dangerous at times with Prince Thompson and Moses Adesola both creating plenty of opportunities.
United will be at home this weekend when they take on Henwood Park.
