The AFL Riverina Championship hosted round four the following day.
The directive had a link to a COVID-19 safety plan, but it also made a number of public health recommendations, including:
- Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions, for example by ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competitions
Officials are now examining what the directive allows and whether Osborne falls inside or outside those parameters.

The league will also examine if players from Albury are still allowed to play.
"We received the information late yesterday afternoon (Monday) and will work through what it means for our competitions over the next 24 to 48 hours," Southern NSW AFL NSW-ACT's regional manager Marc Geppert said.
