The Leeton and Yanco clubs, which were separate entities, have now decided to join forces in a bid to streamline and ease pressure on volunteers.
It will also enable more opportunities to be taken up by swimmers of all capabilities.
Making the news more exciting will be the club's debut at the newly-renovated Leeton pool, where work is ongoing to upgrade this facility and is due to open in time for summer 2020.
Both the former Leeton and Yanco clubs had been working on the idea of the amalgamation for some time.
The two organisations had both been swimming in the same pool for at least the last decade following the closure of the Yanco facility.
Both clubs were having difficulty attracting new committee members when long-standing volunteers retired and some families had children participating with both organisations.
The pooling of resources from both clubs will give the young swimmers more access to coaching, events and much more. It also more cost-effective having the one entity, according to Sally Hill, a volunteer with the new Leeton Yanco Swimming Club.
"It is envisaged this move will develop one stronger club to promote water safety and swimming in our community," she said.
"This is not a takeover move by either club, but the formation of a new club with a positive culture that respects individual swimmer's choices regarding their level of participation and swimming goals.
"We will pool our resources - pardon the pun - to reduce the workload on two small committees that were essentially duplicating their efforts, and to provide better services and opportunities for the members."
The move has been approved by the Department of Fair Trading, with club holding its first annual general meeting on Wednesday night.
