While the Murrumbidgee Local Health District has confirmed no fines have been issued by its Public Health Unit in Leeton to date, police are believed to be investigating an alleged breach at a licensed venue over the weekend.
Inspections and warnings have been commonplace during the COVID-19 era by police and the Public Health Unit, but with the weather warming up and residents getting out and about more, police will be clamping down on the rules that are in place.
NSW Health, SafeWork NSW and Leeton police have power to formally warn and fine businesses and individuals who breach the state's public health orders.

"Generally we've found people are co-operating and complying," Murrumbidgee Police District Superintendent Craig Ireland said.
"I would like to compliment the community on their efforts.
"But there is that worry that people will become complacent so we have to stay on top of it.
"Where there's an outbreak, people are on high alert, but we've had it pretty good so far."
Most of the warnings issued so far have related to signage and COVID check-in sheets.
He said once police conducted an inspection of a business, they would return to follow-up a number of times before shifting to formal warnings and then fines depending on the specific issues.
"What we don't tolerate is repeated non-compliance," Superintendent Ireland said.
MLHD's public health director Tracey Oakman said environmental health officers were making weekly inspections throughout the region.
"We have taken an educative approach with businesses, supporting them to meet the requirements of their COVID safety plans," she said.
