Midfielders Bryce O'Garey and Matt Rainbird (general soreness) and coach Daniel Muir (hamstring) will be on deck for Saturday's second semi-final at Robertson Oval but Spina will miss a third straight week with his own hamstring concern.
"He probably just wasn't quite ready yet and we've got the double chance so we thought we'd give him one more week to try and get some more strength in it," Muir said.
The former Lavington defender came off in their win over Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong on August 15. He was also injured early in the win against Turvey Park on August 1, but has played the three games required to qualify for finals.
Muir is looking forward to having proven performers O'Garey and Rainbird back.
"Matt Rainbird's pretty pivotal to our structure, getting in and under and winning the hard ball. Bryce has a pretty good reputation ever since he's been here, he's a handy footballer and he's biting at the bit to get out there," Muir said.
Muir was named on the bench but is likely to start in a potent forward set-up with Jade Hodge (14 goals this year) and Cooper Sharman (16 goals, including five in a best-on-ground effort last week).
"From where Cooper Sharman's gone from two or three years ago to where he is now, the improvement is unbelievable," Muir said.
"I've been saying every week that they (Sharman and Jeromy Lucas, among others) are pretty handy footballers and they're destined for bigger and better things. Who knows what the future holds but they're doing themselves no harm playing the way they're playing."
At Tigers, Corey McCarthy comes in as the extra player on the bench.
Meanwhile, Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes have lost wing Rhys Mooney to a hamstring injury ahead of Sunday's elimination final against Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong. Defender Tim Smith and forward Jacob Smith also weren't named.
The Goannas have Trent Castles (full-forward) and Jack Carey (centre-half-back) coming in, and Mitchell Scott (wing) promoted, but they've named an extended bench and are yet to finalise their 22.
GGGM have welcomed back Sam Murray and Michael Rothnie back with Curtis Steele the only out.
