Typically held every year on Easter Monday, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on crowd gatherings.
However, the event has now been set down for the Monday of the October long weekend, which also coincides with the school holidays.
This year also marks the 17th running of Riggz Cup as part of the event, which aims to raise mental health awarness, which organisers continued to be of utmost importance.
On October 5, residents can can expect to see plenty of tricks happening at the Leeton Skate Park as participants from across the region lay down their best skills while taking part.
Categories will again be held across several divisions and age groups for those on a scooter, BMX and skateboard.
Always hotly contested, the event doesn't require registration until the actual day, prior to proceedings getting underway at 11am.
Leeton Shire Council's manager of community services Wendell Peacock was pleased the event would be going ahead in 2020.
"The Totem Skate School is again on board for the event, co-ordinating all of the competition throughout the day," she said.

"It's really great to be able to give the young people of the shire something to look forward to.
"We were a bit uncertain about having it in October with the upgrade of the skate park also scheduled to start around then, but we've pushed that back a little bit so the skate championships can be held."
As is the case wherever residents go in today's day and age amid the pandemic, strict social distancing measures will need to be applied on the day, particularly for spectators.
"If you're with your family or group of people try and stay that distance apart while sitting and watching," Ms Peacock said.
Also coinciding with the event will be a special workshop hosted by Totem Skate School prior to the championships taking place.
This will be held on October 2 at the skate park.
The schedule for that day will be as follows:
- 3pm to 3:15pm: Beginner session number one registration
- 3.15pm to 4pm: Beginner session number one
- 4pm to 4.15pm: COVID cleaning break and beginner session number two registration
- 4.15pm to 5pm: Beginner session number two.
These workshops had been due to be held as part of Youth Week festivities, but again had to be postponed as a result of the pandemic.
