The Crows are lining up in the under 17.5s and the first grade AFL Riverina Championships premiership matches on Saturday at Robertson Oval.
It has certainly been an unprecedented year to steer a club and one Carroll could never have foreseen.
Originally, the start of the Riverina Football League season was postponed, then delayed again while decisions were made on what it would look like.
AFL Riverina had been hoping to have both Farrer and Riverina competitions go ahead.
Then, with several clubs from both deciding they wouldn't field teams in 2020, the idea of combining both into the AFL Riverina Championships was formed.

In the end, no Farrer League teams decided to take part, but Osborne from the Hume League was accepted in to play.
With the Crows always keen to see football go ahead, they put in the hard work as a group once restrictions eased.
With several players returning to their home club when their respective competitions were called off, the Crows really started to make a push in the six-week competition.
Having so much home-grown talent on board has been a fantastic bonus of the 2020 year, according to Carroll.
"It's been really great to have those boys back ... they've added to the side," he said.
"We did have some players from other clubs in the area contact us looking for a game, but we decided from the outset we would try and stick with our local boys.
"We do have Jeromy Lucas (originally from the Northern Jets), but he did attend school here at St Francis College, so there's still a Leeton link there."

Having two teams make the grand final is an exceptional feat, according to Carroll.
He believes winning in 2020 would still have just as much meaning as any other year.
"I think anyone who says there's an asterisk next to this season hasn't really been around football," Carroll said.
"When you see the standard of football being played this year thanks to the influx of players from other competitions, it's been incredible.
"So to win this year will mean just as much as winning any other grand final.
"The players, coaches, committee, supporters, everyone involved in the club needs to be congratulated for how they have handled this season.
"Hopefully we can come home with two wins to our name."
