The team finished on top of the ladder at the end of the home and away season two weeks ago and has had their sights firmly fixed on the finals ever since.
Following the extended break, the side will take on Lake Albert, who finished second on the regular ladder in what is sure to be a blockbuster first final n Sunday in Wagga.
In the past, Leeton United reserve grade coach Rhys Jones said the side had faltered come finals.
That's not something he wants to repeat this weekend.

"The boys are confident, they've put in the hard work, but the job is not even half done," Jones said.
"No one is going to remember who won the minor premiership if you get knocked out in straight sets in the finals.
"The last couple of years have been disappointing in terms of finals for reserve grade.
"We've been in a really good position and then crumpled. We can't have that happen again."
Leeton has been the stand out of the second grade competition in 2020, but Lake Albert will throw a challenge their way.
The last time the two sides met it was United who came away convincing winners.
"We dominated probably three quarters of the game the last time we played them, but they did pile on a bit of pressure towards the end," Jones said.
"The boys know this time around it probably won't be the same Lake Albert side we played last time.
"I know they qualified a couple of their boys from first grade for finals, so it's going to be tough.
"Our chances are very good if the engine room is at full capacity."
Working in Leeton United's favour on the weekend will be their strong arsenal of players.
With first grade also being strong this season, players have really had to push for selection in both sides.
"The best thing about our side is I think we are really well-rounded," Jones said.
"We're not having to rely on one or two players.
"We'll likely be going in with a similar team to the last time we played, there might be a couple of changes depending on how a couple of players are going with injuries, but we're looking good."
With first grade, second grade, third grade and the women's side also contesting finals this year, there's been a really good buzz around the Leeton United club.
"I'd say in terms of first and second grade, we've got the best two sides in the competitions," Jones said.
"The boys all get around each other, so it's really good."
The match will be held at Rawlings Park 4 on Sunday afternoon.
