Light Up Leeton has been one of the casualty's of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the volunteer organisers forced to cancel the Christmas carnival and concert in 2020 due to ongoing regulations surround group gatherings.
The committee said it was disappointed to cancel this year's event, but encouraged the community to still spread as much festive cheer as possible.
"The committee is going to do as much as it can to ensure the Christmas spirit flows throughout Leeton in December 2020," Light Up Leeton chairman Carl King said.
"We have been given a big boost by Leeton shire who have acquired new art deco Christmas decorations that promise to be very spectacular.
"The Light Up Leeton committee is hoping lots of Leeton residents will make an effort this year to light up their homes and make it a wonderful experience for the kids to go around viewing all the lights and colour in an attempt to wash away the doom and gloom that COVID-19 has heaped upon us."
Many homes have already lit up their homes and with today marking December 1, the committee is hoping even more do so in the coming days to really light up the town.
In the meantime, look back at all of the fun from last year's Light Up Leeton event, which was quite a chilly affair, with rain also falling throughout the afternoon and evening.
However, this didn't dampen the excitement of the event, with residents enjoying all that was on offer.
