Held at the Leeton High School Ovals, which are looking to be in great condition following recent rain, the event had hundreds of young athletes taking part in a COVID safe manner.
All of the different age groups were represented on the day across the many athletics categories.
These include long jump, shot put, discus, sprints in the various sections such as 50 metres, 100 metres and so on.
The club has said great sportsmanship was shown on the day, including in the under sevens 100 metres where one competitor tripped over and another young athlete stopped her running to go back and check on her before finishing the race.
Several of Leeton shire's young athletes are now in the process of nominating for the Little Athletics NSW Youth State Championships.
In the meantime, Leeton's own weekly competitions at a local level are continuing each Wednesday at the high school ovals.
