The L&D's women's bowling club hosted the Central Riverina district triples championships, starting on Tuesday with the finals held on Thursday.
Leeton and District's Joan Lloyd, Jan Walker and Marika Pete defeated Wagga Rules and Ganmain in the first and second rounds.
Dot Semmler, Hilary Chambers and Faye Harris had an easy win over Griffith in the first round and another L&D team in the second round.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Both Wagga Rules and Wagga RSL, were no match against Lloyd and Semmler in the semi-finals, and conceded after the 19th end.
This meant it was an all Leeton and District final and some excellent skills were again on display.
However, Lloyd's team were just too strong for Semmler's side, giving them the championship and the Riverina Central district title.
In social bowls, 11 players had a game of triples and the drawn winners were P Wakeman, M Payten and B Glover who defeated D Naylor, L Messner and B Glover 12-5.
In the other game J Bell, J Fitzpatrick and G Beer defeated J Heness, D Colyer and J Carroll 10-8.
