The break and enter occurred on March 5 at a property in Leeton after the residents had left around 5.30am to go to work.
However, several more remained inside asleep at the time.
About 6.20am, CCTV footage shows an unknown offender entering the home via access from a rear door.
Police allege a Canon SLR digital camera, a handbag, a bank card and other person items were all among the property taken.

Police also believe the offender disconnected the CCTV system at some point during the break and enter.
A person inside the house heard a door open and a voice before contacting police who arrived shortly after.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
Anyone with information should contact Leeton police or Crime Stoppers.
Vacant house targeted
A VACANT building in Wattle Hill has been targeted during a vandalism attack sometime between 10am on March 5 and 5am on March 6.
Police said the building belonged to a business, but has been vacant and boarded up for some months.
Officers have been told an inspection at the location took place around 10am on March 5 where everything was fine.
However, the following morning at 5am a tradesman alerted police to the vandalism attack.
Holes had been smashed in nearly every internal wall, with each also graffitied with black spray paint.
A board was removed from a kitchen window and a further window in this room was also smashed.
The building was due to be renovated, but police said the damage bill would increase the cost significantly.
