Basketball NSW recently held trials for the under 13s and under 14s Talented Athlete Program (TAP) at Griffith.
With several players taking the opportunity to trial, two of Leeton's best emerged victorious with Jez Lashbrook and Bree Gillespie both capturing the attention of selectors to be chosen.
The pair were selected to participate in the Basketball NSW under 13s TAP initiative in May at the Sydney Academy of Sport.
TAP is a single, camp-based program that aims to expose selected athletes to the NSW/Australian style of play and concepts of play whilst also providing educational opportunities for athletes in the field of nutrition, injury prevention, effective rehabilitation exercises.
TAP plays an important role in the development pathway for athletes.
