Every week during the school term the students have been spending time with employers within the community learning about the business, completing tasks and providing a helping hand.
The work experience is proving to benefit not just the students on an individual level, but also the businesses and their staff.
Some of the businesses taking part include Mitre 10, Studio 9, Kurrajong Narrandera, Griffith Post School Options, My Plan Connect, Assumption Villa, Yanco Agricultural High School, Live to Dye and many more.
"The idea is to of course have our students experience what working life is like, but to also get them out in the community and have businesses realise it's okay for them to have a staff member on board who may have a disability," Gralee School principal Carly Rae said.
"The more we are out in the community for these types of activities, the more we can make progress in these areas.
"We've also been having our students getting out and about for lunch and having them really take on the ordering process and just learning these basic life skills before they finish their schooling with us.

"It all flows on to what they can then achieve when they graduate.
"The students love it and our participating businesses, some who were nervous at first, have given us really great feedback.
"They've realised there is no need to be nervous or worried. This is a great program and we're really grateful for the experiences our students are receiving.
"We have no doubt some of them will even move on to being employed by some of these businesses, which is great."
