Linzie Nardi designed, created and painted a huge floor-to-ceiling mural for a large space within Leeton's Mick's Bakehouse.
The mural has not only brightened up the space thanks to its vibrant colours and calming flora design, but it also gave Mrs Nardi the chance to tap into her creative juices on a large scale.
Mrs Nardi is originally from Canberra and upon finishing her schooling studied the arts.
Once she completed her degree, she had her own studio where she created many top-class paintings and held many exhibitions, including in London.
Now a mother-of-three, Mrs Nardi said it wasn't often she was able to enjoy painting on such a large scale due to her busy schedule.
However, she has started painting again on a smaller scale using watercolours and is also a member of the Leeton Art Society.
"I've always loved being able to paint and the feeling it gives me," Mrs Nardi said.
"Being able to create and work on this mural was a really wonderful experience for me.
"I've been getting some feedback and wonderful comments, so I hope people enjoy it."
Mrs Nardi received a micro grant from Western Riverina Arts to assist with materials for the project and was thankful to this organisation for their help and support along the way.
In the past Mrs Nardi has used acrylics and inks for her paintings.
"Two years ago I started to embrace watercolours and works on paper rather than works on canvas so I can do it at the dining table, rather than needing a studio," she said.
"Leeton has a great arts scene here. I wish I could contribute a little bit more, but I hope to in the future that's for sure.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"I think this mural at Mick's involved around a full day of sketching, two days of researching what would look good on a black wall and about five days painting.
"I love painting. It was good to get back into it on a big scale. It's something I have to do in my life. It gives me a lot of joy and peace."
Mrs Nardi said art comes in many forms and encouraged residents of all ages to embrace their creative side.
"I'm an arts advocate, not just visual arts, but any creative form," she said.
"Even from cooking, just doing and making, it's part of being human.
"If you find the thing you really like doing, you're really blessed. I'm an arts teacher as well, although I haven't taught for a while, I'm so passionate about teaching that love of art.
"It's not about the finished product or having it be a masterpiece, it's just having a go."
