Two volunteers - Selwyn Hester and Selly Haak - from Leeton's Rapid Relief Team (RRT) recently travelled to Queensland to provide vital supplies to the state's farmers.
The pair travelled to Roma and St George with a B-double load of donated livestock feed bags as part of the RRT's farmers community connect event.
The idea behind the initiative was to provide assistance to farmers in Queensland throughout the course of two days.
All up 335 tonnes of livestock pellets were donated by RRT to 297 farmers as a result of the feed drop co-ordinated by the organisation.
RRT in Leeton is no stranger to these events, regularly donating and lending a hand whenever similar concepts are held.
