Wagga United scored two goals within the first twenty minutes of the first half of the game. The ladies continued to work together in defence and spent the last twenty minutes of the first half to create multiple opportunities for LUFC striker Ellie Castle.
Castle took three attempts at securing a goal. However, Wagga FC keeper played consistently in defence with three good saves.
The second half saw Leeton FC come back to the field determined to get past Wagga keeper.
Castle and Courtney Smith worked together and took many chances to beat the keeper, but the keeper was very determined and kept saving every attempt from the ladies.
Wagga put away another goal in the third half against Leeton keeper Katie Burley which saw the game conclude with another loss to Leeton FC, as Wagga took home a 3-0 win.
The Ladies played in hot conditions but saw a huge improvement.
Coach Burley said he was "very pleased to see the improvements in his women's side every week in the Leonard trophy, and if they keep working hard there first win should not be far off."
Players Player was Zoe Stasinopolous and Breanna Twigg, who worked hard for their teammates, along with Paula Bocca and Ellie Castle.
Leeton travels to Cootamundra this Sunday, hoping to bring home their first 3 points for the season against a Strikers side who are also yet to win this season.
