Leeton Eagles have two teams who have gone through the competition rounds undefeated, which has never happened before, and are eyeing off the prize come Finals weekend, which will be held in Bathurst on June 19. This is very exciting for the association as it is a first to have two undefeated teams in the final series.
The Under 12 Eagle Boys are coached by Adam Chilko and include Eli Lepper, Benny Salafia, Johannes Ganderton, Xavier Chilko, Leo Rees, Braxton McDonald, Kobe Rourke & Tate Pauls have played very mature & excellent basketball for their age, winning 12 games from 12 played by winning scores anything from 20 to 40 points, which is a fantastic effort.
The 12's will play off against 4th place West Wyalong & a win will see them take on either Narrandera or Dubbo in the WJL Division 1 Grand final.
The Under 14 Boys Black have also had an excellent tournament, finishing as minor premiers after round 3, winning 12 from 12, with some blown-out margins & some games a little closer.
First-time coach Maddy Clyne along with Josh Clyne will have the boys well drilled and prepared for the final series, The tenacious team of Cooper Jones, Jez Lashbrook, Eli Doyle, Sebastian Rees, Edward Morschel, Salvatore Alampi, Solomon Liu, Ethan McDonald and Cruz Wallace will playoff against 4th place West Wyalong Black & a win will place them in the WJL Division 1 Grand final against the winner of Lithgow & Gilgandra White.

This is going to be a very exciting weekend for Leeton Basketball, and we wish all three teams the best of luck.
U14's boy's green team members, Thomas Johnstone, Kayden Crockford, Jayden Davidson, Elliott Clayton, Sebastian Crelley, Jayden Mooney, Luke Bechaz, Tennyson Sales and Coach: Kris Sales have had an excellent season coming away with three wins from 4 games in round 3 & winning against Dubbo in a nail biter by 1pt.
The vast improvement of this team and from this round took the 14 Green's to 5th spot on the ladder & only just missing out on the finals series. Congratulations & well done.
Leeton eagles Under 14 Girls consisting of Lily Paton, Madeline Glenn, Bree Gillespie, Imogen Lang, Zhane Brits, Lily Thomason, Abigail Blacker, Charlise Vitelli, Mackenzie Lee & Coach: Samara McMillian finished the tournament in 7th spot and came away with a very good 41-34 win in their last game against Orange Black. The girls never give up attitude, and immense improvement has seen them rise against some very strong sides.
U16 Boys Black finished fifth overall in the tournament, having won five out of their nine games this season. With only 3 top age players in the side of Cody McCallum, Brooklyn O'Callaghan & James Rourke all the boys should be very proud of their achievement over the 2021 tournament considering the majority of the team of Nate Fletcher, Taj Lepper, Calan Nichols, Tallis McMillian & Kobe O'Callaghan all bottom age. With the talent coming through from the 14's, 2022 U16's is looking very positive.
