The funds will be donated directly to Can Assist Leeton to support women during their breast cancer treatment.
In it's eighth year, the auction on May 28 saw local farmers donate lambs to be auctioned, with meat companies and abattoirs paying big premiums to support the occasion.
Tim Hutchinson from Breed and Hutchinson previously told The Irrigator that the funds will be used to provided financial assistance to those undergoing treatment for breast cancer, which is primarily based in Wagga.
"This will be through funding transport, accommodation and any other costs that arise during the treatment of the cancer that the patient and their families need financial assistance for" Mr Hutchinson said.
A combined donation by 11 farmers and their families putting their best foot forward saw 61 lambs donated to be auctioned on the day.
Laney Lashbrook founded the Leeton Breast Cancer Support Group in 2001 and said that it was wonderful to see how much the auction has grown from two farmers a few years ago to the amount of farmers wanting to get involved today.
"It is all just so wonderful and generous of everyone involved," Mrs Lashbrook said.
The 2020 auction saw 40 lambs donated by farmers and raised just under $12,000.
Mr Hutchinson said it was a truly fantastic day and hoped the event would continue to grow like it has been in recent years.
All of the funds will now go be given to the Leeton Can Assist branch, who will then disseminate them to those in need within the local community.
