Leeton Golf Course will be hosting a charity golf day on June 27 to raise funds for the St Vincent de Paul Society and Friends of Luro (FoL).

Participants will play in a three person Ambrose competition which will allow for teams from all abilities to play together competitively and just for fun.
Ironplan Financial is a major sponsor for the event and has donated $500 in prize money alongside $100 from Boree Cabinets and $100 for the longest drive by Leeton Superwash.
Eric Hudson, Secretary Treasurer of FoL said he was thrilled to once again take part in the charity day and raise funds for a good cause.
"Friends of Luro is a local group that has a friendship with Luro, a group of villages in the mountains of Timor Leste," Mr Hudson said.
"We support students to access senior education facilities that are not available at Luro."
The organisation also have people in place to ensure that scholarship students are selected and enrolled correctly, and that their welfare and progress are reported to FoL.
Funds raised for the St Vincent de Paul Society will go towards local families in need, providing clothing, food and other essential items and life needs.

There will be a shotgun start of 11am after enjoying a hearty soup and after the 10th hole, players will be able to enjoy barbecue steak and then after game nibbles at the Soldiers Club.
Already this year, Leeton Golf Club has raised a combined $3000 for the Leeton Can Assist Branch and the Gralee School.
All funds raised on the day will be divided equally between both charities.
The next charity golf day on the calendar for the year will be the Multiple Sclerosis Charity Golf Day in November.
