St Peter's Anglican Church, with the help of Leeton High School, will be holding two Christmas in July functions with the aim of spreading cheer and bringing a little bit of fun into people's lives smack bang in the middle of winter.
Carols, entertainment and a traditional two-course Christmas meal will be served up on the day, with the big man in red also slated to make an appearance.
The Christmas in July event was first held at St Peter's in 2019, with the church hall full to the brim.
IN OTHER NEWS:
In 2021, COVID restrictions means the festivities will look a little different, with organisers deciding to host both a dinner and a lunch to ensure people can still attend and strict numbers adhered to.
Leeton High School students have been tasked with creating the delicious feasts, giving their time to cook, serve and clean for the event.
"Their talent, their skill and their dedication is something to behold," Father Robert Murphy said.
"A play will be part of the evening featuring our parishioners, Santa and a special helper will be there and we'll sing all of the carols I normally don't allow on Christmas Day."
Participants can dress in festive garb, so why not grab those ugly Christmas jumpers from the back of the cupboard?
The dinner will be held on July 23 at the church hall from 6pm and lunch on July 24 from noon.
Tickets are limited and are $25 per person.
For more information email stpetersleeton@bigpond.com or call 0427 326 396. Tickets must be paid for by July 18.
