Whilst the slow pace of the national vaccination rollout has been universally panned, the news comes as a sigh of relief to many, as Greater Sydney and Regional NSW have headed into another lockdown following an outbreak of the highly contagious Delta strain of the virus.
A spokesperson for the Murrumbidgee Private Health Network (MPHN) told The Irrigator that all 70 residents of the two private residential aged care facilities in the Leeton area have now received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
Acting MPHN CEO Julie Redway said that the completion of the region's privately operated residential aged care facility residents COVID-19 vaccinations was a necessary and positive step forward in the national vaccine rollout.
"It certainly is promising to see some of our most vulnerable people, aged care facility residents, receive their final doses of the COVID-19 vaccine last week, " Ms Redway said.
