Due to be held on the last weekend of this month, the reunion was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1971 grand final premiership win.
However, organisers have decided to move the event to next year as concerns surrounding restrictions and border closures were starting to make preparations difficult and the number of attendees would have been limited.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"As a thought, maybe we could hold something in round one next footy season at home of course and, if possible, against Griffith who we played in the grand final in 1971," co-organiser Tom Thompson said.
"The weather should be warmer then also. Of course this has to be arranged via the Riverina Football League and the Leeton-Whitton Football Club."
Mr Thompson said those working behind the scenes would keep everyone up-to-date with the new plan once it was known and locked in.
