If not in the past three years while he has worked as a locum at Leeton Veterinary Hospital, but possibly back in the 1980s when he first came to Leeton as newly-graduated veterinarian.
Dr Peter Brunsdon graduated from the University of Sydney in 1983 and soon after came to work in Leeton with Dr Brian Munro.
Brian clearly had a lot of faith in Peter even at that early stage as not long after starting at the practice, Brian went away on holidays and left Peter to run the practice.
The start of a solid career was not the only thing that Peter found while in Leeton back then. He would also meet the love of his life. A young teacher by the name of Regina.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The years that followed would see them welcome three children - Hannah, Simon and Clare.
After a few years, Peter left Leeton to work at a practices in Corowa and Queanbeyan.
After more than a decade working for others, an opportunity for Peter to become his own boss came about in 1995 when he purchased the Tumbarumba Veterinary Clinic.
This clinic offered services for all creatures great and small.
The decision was made to sell the Tumbarumba practice in 2018 to move to Wagga and work as a locum.
Peter's services were soon obtained by practices not only in Wagga but also by our team here at the Leeton Veterinary Hospital.
Just a few short years later, Peter and Regina decided they were ready to take on the challenge of again owning a practice and purchased the Leeton Veterinary Hospital from Brian.
From working on farms with cattle and sheep, alpacas and ostriches to treating cats and dogs, Peter has incredible knowledge and experience behind him.
The Leeton Veterinary Hospital is a larger practice than the Tumbarumba one that Peter owned previously and he is looking forward to the experience of leading a new team and being involved in the Leeton community.
