The Hawks are sitting just outside the top five in the first grade Group 20 competition, but won't make this year's finals series.
It's been a rebuilding year for Yanco-Wamoon and, while the Hawks have won just two matches, co-coach Kane Hammond said there was plenty to be positive about.
He said the club continued to build confidence not just among players, but supporters.
"It has been a long season, we've had a lot of injuries, which didn't really help us," Hammond, who is suffering from an ACL injury, said.
"It's been about rebuilding, but we've got people interested in the club and the game and that's the main thing."
The Hawks are coming off a derby loss to the Leeton Greens last weekend, but Hammond said there was some good aspects to come from that match.

He hopes his charges can take what they learned against Leeton into this weekend's fixture with Waratah Tigers.
"I do think we had a better second half against the Greenies last weekend, so we've got a bit of confidence coming from that," Hammond said.
"Waratah Tigers are always a tough side, but we don't have anything to lose.
"It would be really great to finish the season on a win and carry that momentum into next year."
Yanco-Wamoon will again be hampered from injuries when it comes to picking a side for the Waratahs Tigers clash.
Hammond said many players were carrying injuries and only a handful were looking at a 50 pet cent chance of taking to the field on the weekend.
While the 2021 season didn't pan out how the Hawks had hoped, the club will continue to build its player base ahead of 2022.
The hard work rarely stops for football clubs, so while the weekend might be the last game of the year for first grade, supporters can take comfort in the fact plenty of work will be happening in the background.
"It would be really good to finish with a win ... that's certainly what we are focusing on," Hammond said.
