The mobile OzHarvest van rolled into town on Wednesday to provide fresh food and produce to those in need, albeit delivering the items in a different manner to usual.
A drive through set up was established for vehicles in the Sycamore Street carpark outside the Salvation Army's headquarters.
This meant residents only had to wind down their window to collect the essential food and produce from the masked-up workers from both organisations.
"We've been extremely busy this time around," Leeton Salvation Army candidate officer Lesley Burke said.
"The need continues to increase greatly.
"People are struggling. This is one way we can help and we are really grateful to have this partnership with OzHarvest Australia."
The need was evident throughout the morning as cars waiting in line for their turn to pick up their pack.
The idea behind these fortnightly visits from OzHarvest is to help not only feed families and individuals, but to do so in a healthy and nutritious way.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The Leeton Salvation Army's food hall is another way residents can seek help during these hard times and beyond.
It continues to remain open every Tuesday and Thursday, even in lockdown.
"We're here to help," Mrs Burke said.
"We really encourage people to come and talk to us and see what we can do for them.
"That's what we are here for."
