Having originally set the finishing date of September 28, the season will now finish on October 17 in order to decide who will take out the 2021 premiership.
There are a couple of scenarios the clubs will have to decide on, which will dictate the look of the finals series.
Should the lockdown end on September 10, it will be a top-four final, including the fifth-placed team if they won their elimination final, but how that looks will be determined by the clubs.

Option one will see a normal qualifying and elimination final before the preliminary final, with the decider to be played on October 17. There is a shorter option which would see two elimination finals used to decide who would play in a grand final on October 10.
If the lockdown is extended until September 19, it will be two elimination final on September 9 and 10 before a grand final on October 17.
