PRIOR to the recent lockdown, members of the Inner Wheel Club of Leeton had been doing their best to stay connected and busy.

Early last month members held a COVID-safe changeover event, with outgoing president Carol Chiswell inducting new member Margaret Jongebloed, as well as giving her final address before handing over the reins to Alma Herrmann.
Despite the challenges of the 2020-21 year, members of the club were still able to enjoy several functions and trips together when allowed both in Leeton and the surrounding areas.
Members also attended several events hosted by neighbouring Inner Wheel clubs such as a twilight picnic hosted by Griffith East and Inner Wheel Day celebrations in Griffith.
Monthly 10-pin bowling with members from Yenda and Griffith also continues to be a highlight.

Due to COVID restrictions fundraising has been limited for the group, but two theatre parties were able to be held in the last 12 months.
The national project for cord blood had fundraising continue, as well as additional 100 clubs for local charities.
The changeover event also included office bearers being presented with their badges
While handing over the reins of her local club, Mrs Chiswell takes on the district A54 vice chairman position.
