Leeton Soldiers' Women Bowlers were excited to be on the green again, even though they played under COVID regulations. A number of players were welcomed back after the Winter break.

A sunny day added to the enjoyment and a pleasing number of members attended. Coila Murray, Lee Noble and Ann Chant proved too strong for Jeanie Plant, Laurel Cox and Betty Howard, with Chant's team ending up the drawn winners for the day.
In the other triples match, Lorraine McKellar (playing double lead & back from injury), Margaret McKenzie and Kathy Marks played consistently well to defeat McKellar, Jan Munro and Val Bloem. Marks' team were the drawn runners-up.

With the weather improving now, it is hoped more players will start back in the weeks ahead. Lawn Bowls is one of the few community sports that can now be played since we have come out of lockdown.
If it's fresh air, exercise and good company ladies are seeking in these challenging times, new players are always welcome.
