A YOUNG driver caught the attention of Leeton police conducting roadside breath tests over the weekend when she allegedly quickly turned her vehicle around after spotting the officers.

The 20-year-old woman was travelling on Wamoon Avenue around 6.20pm on Saturday, October 2 where officers were conducting the roadside breath tests.
Police allege the vehicle was approaching where they were set up before the driver performed a u-turn, crossing double lines to go in the opposite direction.
Police followed and pulled the vehicle over in Teatree Avenue where they allege the woman returned a positive roadside drug test.
Officers also allege they located an amount of cannabis and prescription medication.
The woman was arrested and taken to Narrandera police station where she was issued with a prohibition notice, with the matter now going through various legal processes.

Meanwhile, a 49-year-old man has been charged with low-range drink driving and possessing a prohibited drug in Leeton over the weekend.
The man was stopped for a roadside breath test at 9.40pm on Friday, October 1 in Hickory Street.
Police allege the man returned a positive result and was arrested and taken to Leeton police station.
A further breath analysis test revealed a positive 0.072 reading, with police also alleging they discovered a small amount of cannabis on the man.
He was issued with a field court attendance notice and charged with low-range drink driving and possessing a prohibited drug.
