The first was a photo competition where students from any school were invited to capture an image of why they love to live in Whitton.
Twelve images will be chosen to feature in a 2022 calendar, that will be available to purchase once completed.
The second activity was chalk art fun.
Buckets of chalk were available at both the shop and post office for everyone to decorate and brighten the footpaths.
There was a nice collection of color building up until the rain washed it all away.
However, it did not take long for more to appear again.
The school term wrapped up with the primary class being treated to a surprise campfire, cooking damper on a stick and roasting marshmallows.
IN OTHER NEWS:
This went a little way to make up for the disappointment of having the school excursion to the Snowy Mountains cancelled due to COVID.
Term four begins with a visit from the Healthy Harold Life Education Van, school photos and the recommencement of the Little Scholars Transition Program.
Coming up at the Whitton Bowling Club on Saturday October 23 is a Cox Plate fashions on the fields event.
This is a lunchtime function with a complimentary glass of sparkly, as well as raffles and prizes for dressing up.
If anyone is interested bookings are essential for catering.
The Rice Bowl Hotel wrapped up their footy tipping competitions by holding a grand final party for both the AFL and NRL codes.
