In a close game of pairs Lorraine Mullins and Joan Arnold defeated Joan Lloyd and Shirley Tyack 21-18.
Lloyd's team were eight shots ahead when Mullins' side scored the next 11 shots putting them in front by three.
In the other game of pairs, Patti Wakeman and Jan Carroll, who were the drawn winners, defeated Elaine Sullivan and Lorraine Messner 18-10.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Wakeman's team was seven shots down, but with some great bowling, only allowed Sullivan's team to win one of the next 11 ends.
Janet Bell, Mary Patten and Joan Bourke defeated Jan Walker, Jean Leighton and Marika Pete. Bell's team were down 10-3 on the 5th end when they took control of the game to draw even on the 8th, going on to win 22-14.
Playing a game of triples Denise Naylor, Hilary Chambers and Jan Fitzpatrick defeated Dot Semmler, Faye Harris and Dian Colyer 20-12.
Naylor's team took the lead early. Semmler's team was closing the gap when Naylor's side scored an unbeatable five shots on the second last end.
The club will hold its annual general meeting on Wednesday at 6pm.
