The Leeton Library Knitting Group meets twice weekly at the facility where it's as much about clicking the needles for a cause as it is about forming long-lasting friendships.
Every Tuesday and Thursday members gather with their balls of wool and get to knitting.
They catch up, enjoy a chat, coffee and morning tea, all while busily keeping their hands moving for an ongoing special project.
Members spend their time at the meetings knitting squares for the Wrap with Love charity, which has helped deliver warm blankets and wraps to those in need right across the world.
The Leeton group has contributed to this project for many years now, with members taking great satisfaction in knowing their skill is helping someone.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We like knowing we are helping someone," group member Marlene Thurgate said.
"It's also about the friendships we form and make.
"Since lockdown and restrictions it's been really lovely to be back and see everyone again."
However, as is often the case with community groups more members are needed and indeed welcome by the Leeton knitters.
"We'd love to see some new faces come along," Mrs Thurgate said.
Those interested in joining the group just need to turn up on a Tuesday or Thursday morning at 10am at the Leeton library to find out more information and see what it's all about.
