On December 19 the church will be hosting a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, which originally started in 1911 in Turo Cathedral in Cornwall.
"Then it became famous because it's held at King's College Cambridge - that's where people really know it from as it is televised across the world every year," Father Robert Murphy said.
"So, we are doing our own version of it.
"What happens is there are readings, there is no sermon, which is an added benefit for anyone, including the priest.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The readings tell the story of Christmas and we have soloists and choirs who will sing."
The soloists who will be performing on the night will be Ruth Warren, Katie McAliece and Zoe Yalouris.
Also singing will be the St Peter's Choir, Riverina Men's Choir and the Leeton Girls Choir.
"It's open to everyone ... we would like to invite everyone to come," Fr Robert said.
"It will be followed by traditional carols service fare, which is fruit cake and sherry - all delivered in a COVID-friendly manner of course.
"We've had this before in the past. Last year we had a virtual service, but this year we are looking forward to gathering together again."
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held on December 19, starting from 7pm at the church.
