Miss Leeson is one of three entrants in the quest, which was officially launched at the start of the month.
Along with Sophie Litchfield and Katelyn Mills, Miss Leeson started her fundraising off with a stall at Light Up Leeton and is now working on other ideas to keep her efforts ticking along.
Miss Leeson grew up in Leeton before moving away for high school, but eventually found her way back to the community she loves after completing university.
She is a former Leeton Showgirl and said putting her hand up to be an entrant in the quest wasn't something she had to think too hard about.
"I have always wanted to take part," Miss Leeson said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"My mum has been involved with several committees for entrants in the past, so I have always grown up around it and thought it was something special."
Miss Leeson's committee for the quest is the Leeton Show Society, with the Yanco branch of the Country Women's Association her chosen charity.
"I wanted to help get the show society name out there, we haven't had a show for a couple of years due to COVID," she said.
"I chose the Yanco CWA because they are involved with the show over that weekend, so this is a way to thank them and help showcase them as well."
Miss Leeson has several fundraisers in the works, including a cutting event in March, team penning and perhaps a luncheon on the turf at the Leeton Jockey Club.
"We're going very traditional with events we didn't get to have during show weekend," she said.
"I'm also really thankful to Grant (Fitzsimon) for approaching us about the luncheon on the turf.
"We're also thinking of other events that focus on families and kids. I'm looking forward to the whole experience."
The winning Ambassador and Highest Fundraising Ambassador will be announced on Easter Saturday.
